It seems the world has been turned upside down and inside out.
In a matter of weeks the majority of the people on this beautiful planet are in some form of lockdown, businesses closing, medical systems stretched like never before and many people unsure what the future will hold.
And with all that, the sky is clearing as pollution levels drop, people are coming together (in a safe distancing kind way), and many are beginning to ask what comes next.
Being a food business has meant that raw chocolate is essential and so we're continuing to make, pack and ship as quickly as possible.
As much as we'd like to say we're completely unaffected, we can't. We're seeing issues with suppliers, some items being out of stock, some delayed and a couple of business closing (hopefully) temporarily.
This is meaning that our stock levels can be up and down. Some lines potentially out of stock for the foreseeable future (particularly many of our chocolate mould designs).
Courier and postal services are also seeing delays due to high demand.
Our real-world in-person events such as chocolate workshops and cacao ceremonies have had to be cancelled for obvious reasons.
Moving forward, we're reducing the days that we're in Woolley Wonkland to Tues, Wed and Thurs.
Please allow some extra time for orders to arrive and emails to be answered.
One thing that both Paula and I are feeling is the call to slow down.
It feels like what's happening in the world is an opportunity for a global human reset!
The extra time away from work is going to allow Paula and I to explore what's going on in the world and within ourselves.
It's a chance to look at the Earth and our place in it. To see how we can become more of the solution. Explore how we can become more a force for positive change.
We'll be meditating
We'll have long walks in nature with our dogs
We'll continue to nourish our bodies and boost our immune systems
We're going on a digital detox
We'll sit in ceremony
What are you doing as we navigate these uncertain times? We'd love to hear from you, either by email or in the Cacao Community group.
Cacao Community group? Read on to find out.....
Our new private Facebook group, the Elements for Life Cacao Community and you're all invited!
This is a virtual home for online cacao ceremonies and chocolate demonstrations. We'll also share the best of recipes and it's a place to connect about all things cacao.
We look forward to connecting with you there.
Phew, that turned into a longer one than planned!
Thanks as always for your lovely words of support and continuing business.
In these uncertain times, community and supporting each other is ever more important.
Warm wishes
Dan and Paula
